Yellow from Controller - Connect Black from Fan, and RED from ceiling. That would obviously leave me with a unused hot wire (Red from ceiling) not in use, and does not seem correct. In my fan, I have blue-controller, black-hot, and white common. In my ceiling box I have 4 wires, bare-ground, white-common, black-hot, red-hot. I've installed the fan, however its not 100% functional, and am looking for guidance on how to correct it, and get it running correctly, with Switch 1-Fan On/Off, Switch 2-Light On/Off, 3 Remote Light/Fan On/Off. Through our builder we purchased an option for a ceiling fan "pre-wire" which apparently has dual switch controls running that box in the ceiling. The fan has a remote controller receiver with no fan or light pull chains on the fan itself. I purchased a Hunter ceiling fan, with remote, this is for a new house, that the wife and I are about to move into.
